I wrote this comic as being about a logician, but it could easily be a semanticist. It actually happens to me quite often that I hear an interesting usage of a word or a construction in casual conversation, and I try to get more information from the person who said it. Many people get confused by it, but fortunately not quite as desperate as the kids in this comic!
